Who made the 460 engine?

my work truck has a 460 and auto, about 8-10 mpg at best. sometimes as low as 5-6 the only v-10 in the companys other trucks is also an auto it does the same mpg but the power is not the same, it is a hog!!! my old (personal) truck is a 89 351 5-spd, still a hog, and still gets 9 mpg on its best day. 460 is better than the 5.8 but in my opinion they are both better than the 10cyl

I have a 97 mass air 7.5, Dont get me wrong it runs very good and has alot of power but my bro's V-10 has WAY more power in a drag race or Towing his truck will leave mine behind. We both have cc/lb 4x4 35''tires and bolt on's the only thing he has over me is hedder's and i dont think they'll make that big a diff on my truck to make up the diff in power he has over mine. Mileage wise about the same 8-9 city 11-low13 freeway.
