PCM harness pars request
I need a wire for my PCM harness to enable the SEIC (PTO high idle to 1200 rpm) function. I have a 2003 Excursion with 6.0L engine. The F-series owners only have to look under the dash and hook the wires from circuits 294 and 322 together via rocker switch and they enable the high idle up to 1200 rpm.
The PTO was not an option on the X, and I want the high idle. I know this works, but I want it to look as factory as possible. I searched and found a post where the user placed a wire and connector at the 12th pin location, and enabled the high idle. The PCM will do it, but Excursions don't have the wire there, wand e have to physically add it in with the connector pin and wire.
I want to do this as well, but need the wire and connector before going into the harness.
Any idea where to get it? A waranteed PCM from a dealer service department parts bin would be ideal, the color code for the wire is light blue/yellow stripe. If anyone can help, please chime in. My local dealer (small town) service dept guys looked at me like i was crazy, so I'm turing to online help.
Thanks,
Scott

That was pobably one of my posts about the SEIC on an excursion.
Are there any junk yards near you that would have the harness?
I would just ask them if they had any Ford Super Duties, if you ask for a harness they will probably give you a funny look.
I'm not sure if the SEIC mod will work on an 2003.
Go to www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas and check the SVE bulletins to make sure. The one I've read said new SEIC for 2005 only.
I'd hate to see you smoke your PCM.
I just recently added a on delay timer to my SEIC mod so that when I use the remote start the SEIC waits 30 seconds before it idles up. I wanted to make sure the oil pressure was sufficent before the motor would idle up.
When I first did my SEIC mod as soon as you flipped the switch it idled up instantly. With the SD pick ups that have the SEIC factory wiring once you flip the switch they idle up gradually.
Again make certain that the function was available on the SD pick ups.
Good Luck and let everyone know how it went.

Yes I believe it was an old post I found of yours. It is my understanding the PCM's for the trucks and Excursions are the same, just a different harness. Trust, me, I'm not hooking up anything until am very sure the change will work and not hurt anything. I sure would like someone to chime in who has a service or technical manual and could verify the PCM. Know where I could purchase the page out of the manual for this?

I'm going to purchase the DVD manual from ebay and look for the info there as well. Probably need a good manual anyway for other things too.
The PCM connector closest to the firewall, removed from the terminals:

The front of the connector, notice on the vertical row of female connectors (the black row) that the second pin down has no small guides like the rest. The little plastic "dovetail" is missing. This is the pin in question:

The back of the connector, showing the number 12 to the left of the pin, (second row down) and the part of the pin that still has plastic in it, hence the need for drilling out:

The numbers from my PCM. If anyone can find any use from this and tell me about it:

Can't seem to hotlink to the images, you'll have to click on them sorry!
Still haven't pulled the trigger on the ebay DVD manual, there seem to be a few different flavors of it on there, and I don't want to buy something I can't use. I did see that on http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/retail/default.asp?pageid=cat_1&gutsid=productdetail you can purchase access to FOMOCO manuals, schematics, diagrams, the whole gamut for a fee.
Will post more when I have info.
I obtained samples of the female connectors through Yazaki, who supplies them to Tyco, who supplies the PCM connectors to Ford. Easier than trying to get one from Ford. I then crimped my own wire to it and glued it into the drillled ECM connector at pin #12. I used one of the customer access pass- through wires to put it in the cab.
