Shoulda got a Ford
When I got back from Saskatoon, I tore my Geo apart again. For those who saw it, it was all oily on the passenger's side. I thought the crank seal had gone again, but after taking it all apart, I found it was fine. Turns out there was a check valve in the crancase ventelation system that was plugged and so the oil was blowing out the dipstick tube. Sort of. When I replaced the crank seal a few months ago, I couldn't get the stay bolt in for the dipstick tube and it was just sitting there. Of course it couldn't handle any pressure,(not that there should have been much) and blew oil all over under the hood. I just kept adding oil as I hadn't had the time to check it out. Shoulda got a Ford!
