what is the difference between the 150 and the 250 frames?
and what are the differences betweeen '77, '78, and '79 frames? in every autoparts catalog i've looked, '78 and '79 are grouped together and '77 and below are in a different group, what's different? I want to build a '78-'79 F-250 from the ground up, I was just wondering if there were any differences in frames between the 3?
Erik, I think all the differences are below the chassis, springs, axles, etc. You should be able to build your truck on which ever chassis that you want. I have a 76 chassis in Durham North Carolina that you can have for hauling away. The 78-79 has a slightly different body change, but every thing under the body is the same from 73-79.

In the cool still quite of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
The 78-79 frames are wider in the rear than the 77 frame. That will make a difference when you choose a bed to bolt down. of course you can always drill new holes through the bed
