Glow plugs

I just replaced all 8 of my glowplugs. The engine would start, but very rough with lots of white smoke, then it would'nt start at all. I found 5 Autolight plugs bad and 3 Motorcraft original plugs still good. All this advise about motorcraft is right on!!!!!

Yeah I ended up replacing all of mine phil and they were mostly acdelco one champion and 2 autolite....guess wich ones wouldnt come out without a little persuasion...AUTOLITE!!! I put all motorcraft in there and it started right up this mornin and this afternoon when i got out of school. Goes to show how important them things are!!

Just one glow plug bad when it is cold and your truck will take longer to crank before starting. It will also puff once started, meaning that the cylinder without glow plug has a hard time to fires, finally when all cylinder are firing, it will run smooth and crakells like a good cat.
Beru, motorcraft, lucas, bosh, all german plug I beleive are the only way to go. Autolite is crap.
