I bought some strips at NAPA last week and tested for the first time yesterday. Probably the first time in the life of this 91 F-250 7.3 IDI. The strip indicated ideal for % glycol and almost ideal for Ph but very weak on Nitrite. How do I fix this? What problems should I be looking for?
Also, I bought a whole bottle of test strips (50) last week not realizing that they are only good for about 18 months. Anyone want a few strips? If so, send me a private email and I will mail you a few.
You should have gotten a card with them showing different colors, the nitrite colors will denote if a maintenace dose is required........ see the card. I usually put a bottle in and drive it for a few days and recheck....that allows it to mix in the cooling system.
