Has anyone had any exprience with electronic corrosion control devices?Do they work or are we talking "smoke and mirrors"? The hype sounds good but should a person invest?
I have a 96, live in a salt and winter region, I've just noticed a dime size paint bubble over a rear fender. How much are they? Every thing rusts at some point, Maybe I've been lucky
It would be alot easier and cheaper to buy a garden sprayer and spray some used motor oil cut with kerosene on the underside and over the wheel wells, below the tail lights, etc. If you see an older rust free truck up here, chances are the owner sprayed it 2 or 3 times a year.
Hey Will_01_GT, I had the same paint bubble and decided to open it and try to touch it up. Really bad idea unless you are better with paint than I am. I went from a small bubble to a large eyesoar. I agree that everything eventually rusts, expecially if you live in the great white north. Most of my DMV taxes pay for road salt.
used motor oil doesn't work, washes off too fast. I live in canada so I know. There is a product from prolab that works pretty good, but nothing works better than keeping her clean underneath and cleaning those spots that hold crap, like above the inner fenders over the rear tires.

How do you go about cleaning those inner fenders??
currently, i just stick the pressure washer nozzle down the square hole above the wheel wells on the box. the first time i did that (after a few months of winter), tons of dark liquids washing out underneath (i suppose built up salt and dirt) so it worked a bit.
