I have a 2000 EB Expy with adjustable pedals. I have a problem with the accellerator pedal sticking only after the truck has been sitting and I first start her up. I really have to hit the pedal hard once for it to work. After I get moving everything works fine. No sticking at all. Did some searches, but no luck. Any ideas??
yep, what jas88 said. I had the same problem with mine a while ago. You get a buildup of gummy crud in the throttle body seat and the throttle valve will stick to it, especially when it sits for a while. It then takes a little pressure to pop it loose.
The fix is easy, get a can of sensor safe carb cleaner and a rag. Take the intake air hose off the throttle body and go to town with the carb cleaner. Make sure to use the rag and wipe off any stubborn deposits on the little lip in the throttle body as while as off of the throttle valve itself. Put it all back together and you should be good.
