Solving Squeaking Speedometer Cable - 86 F150
I can't seem to get the forum search to work tonite...so I'll ask the question: What are the steps to lube a speedo cable on an 86 F150 4X4 4.9L. The squeaking is making me crazy

Pull it off the dash side and spray white lithum grease in the cable. Doesn't hurt to spray a tiny bit in where it hooks on the speedometer.That should take care of it, if it is internal. Unless it is rubbing against something under the dash then might have to do a small relocate routing.
