need some help...

i just put a center console out of a 99 explorer into my 99 ranger. I was just wondering what is in the oval shaped hole above the cup holders and below the arm rest. It looks like where the parking brake would go, but that doesnt make any sense. If anyone also has pics of the compartment under the armrest that would help too. I think there is a piece missing but im not sure.

That slot is for a tissue paper dispenser. You can get a box of tissue at Walmart for 99 cents that fits that spot. Helps keep the interior of Explorers clean versus those of Rangers.
