I use a cheap 150 amp MIG welder that has done all the bodywork on my truck
Mine is made by SIP, I don't know if they are sold in the US as I am in the UK
Get the type that uses shielding gas and a auto darkening helmet

What sort of budget are you working with??? There was a great post on mig welders here last, it's on the second page and it's called: "Mig Welders, What's your take?" I myself posted my opinions on that post, and there was a lot of good info shared in it. I suggest you give it a good read and if you have any questions at all, I'll be more than glad to fill in the blanks if there are any.
