Could the C be a G? If so, that would make the engine a 5.8L or 351 with a 2bbl carb. My 86 is 2FTJW35L0GCBxxxxx for Canadian built Ford Truck J being the same 9001 to 10000 GVW W35 is a crew cab L is the 7.5L (460) engine 0 is the check didgit G is the year, 1986, C is Ontario Canada and Bxxxxx is the consecutive unit number. Hope this clears up the rest.
