Static shock!
I have a 1998 F150, 4.6L 4X4, I’ve noticed recently that when I get out I get a poke when closing the door. It never did before and don’t know why it’s doing it now. Any one has an answer or solution on how to fix it. Thanks!

It's probably those polyester pants you're wearing....
Have you had new tires installed since last year? Some tires are bad at conducting static to ground.
You can try spraying the seats with Static Guard, that usually helps.

Static Guard seams to work but I usually just get a couple of dryer sheets and wipe them all over the carpet and seats (cloth). It seems to last a while, how long is hard to say since our weather changes so frequently.
