KOER code 4?????
KOER code 4?????
key on engine running i got 4 can anyone tell me what that means I also got KOEO and CM codes 53 63 can anyu one give me some insight on how to replace the TPS. Or where to get info with out paying for it. Im in the army and have done it at least 30 times in a m998 and m1114 in that procedure we used a jumper wires and a block for the linkage.
It's always a good idea to post all relevant information about your truck.
Codes are always either 2 digits or 3. There's no such thing as code 4.
To replace the TPS, it's easiest to remove the throttle body and clean it out at the same time.

If the truck is a V8, there will be 4 blinks immediately, which is the engine code. It will then go into testing the sensors and such before it outputs the actual codes. The KOER test takes it a minute or two before it actually outputs codes.
ok thanks alot i didnt wait more then 30 sec and i figured there wasnt anything else. i'll do it again.

Obd 1 code
So I recently got my grandpas 92 f150 302 efi v8 xlt 2wd pickup, apon doing maintenance I decided to check the obd 1 port for any stored codes. I got the following codes, 81, 82, 85, 84, 12, 24, 13, 23, 42, 4. Now I was able to use the information found online for everything except for the last one. I watched the video I took of the recording of the obd 1 scan Numerous times and I swear on everything the last code blinked 4. Not 2, 2 but 4. I need help figuring out what 4 is. Apon more googling I get that it's a crank shaft sensor?? Can anyone please confirm?.
Okay, I have some parts coming in the next week. And the egr valve I already know is an issue. However what should I do about the last code being 4? Just ignore it? Also how do I reset the obd on this truck to rescan everything after a drive or two once I get all replacement items installed.
The engine code will come at the beginning of the sequence, not the end. Are you sure it's giving two digit codes? My dad's '92 gives three digit codes. To reset the codes, pull the jumper wire while the codes are flashing. Where is the separator code in that sequence? Was it engine off or engine on?
So ignore all the scribbling and what not. However i followed a youtube video and used 2 male connectors and a scrape piece of wire ro make a jumper. As the cel stsrted to flash the intinal 2 quick short flickers it then paised and started doing connective flashes then paused for a second then started again. As far as 3 digit codes idk?? I was understanding it as 2 digit codes. However at the very end it flashed 4 and stopped and didn't do anything else. What i wrote down was the order it read.
At the 2:10 minute mark of my 4:30 min long video recording there was a long pause and i got a second set of digits after the initial codes beginning with 8. Motor was off and was cold and the ignition was turned on.

It might be two digit - if you take out the one at 2:10, do the rest of the numbers then make sense? It's been a while, but I was thinking that it usually output codes in ascending numerical order.
This diagram might help:

Lead driver - if I'm reading your diagram correct it is first sequence, 1 sec intervals then once it gets 2:10 sec into my recording there is a 10sec wait and it starts again but with the 2nd set of codes. I wish there was a way to post my video as I have it recorded but I can't post it here it's too big and even trimming it down I still can't post it.

The video would make it easier for sure. I have seen embedded videos in the forum, but I think they were uploaded elsewhere. The linked diagram shows how to interpret the digits in the top left panel, key on engine off example in the bottom left frame. One second pause between digits, two second pause between codes, six second pause between the separator flash between hard faults and memory codes.
