i own a 02 with 42" tires. i drove 1800 miles in the summer from wasington state to Iowa. i thought a would get 12-15 mpg. i was wrong. at best i got 8mpg. so good luck with the mpg thing. P.S. i ran out of money on the trip there. 400 miles from home.
42's man no wonder you ran out of cash. you had to keep it floored to spin those things that you don't need.
art
yes i agree , how correct you are, a super TROLL!
thats the complainers for sure. lift it . retire it big and over size and complain. with those tires i hope you regeared to 5:13's or 5:38's, cause that's what you need to spin them things. so you are paying for not asking first.
bmxjtk there is old racer saying. if you want to play you have to be willing to pay.
and that you are! big unneeded tires, and most likely a big lift. YEP YOU ARE PAYING FOR PLAYING

Hey, that's preety good for a truck with 42's! Didjya regear it or keep the stock 3.73's?
ok so i need to regear it. alright hot hard is it to regear, and i plan on geting new tires soon, but i like how big these are. would 39-40s be alright? and how do i figure out what is the best gears for my truck?
just get rid of the big over sized useless tires. to regear if you never have done it,leave that up to a shop that can do it.
42's you need 5:13's to make up the lose, cost wise about 2k . i did one about 6 weeks ago and thats what we charged .
lockers yes.thats a no problem when you regear . look up bfrf250sd 's gallery, rich has done his just right , has air lockers and 4:56 gears. tires that are again just right and a lift kit. him and a few others can help you better , i'm just a retired mechanic now who has done to many gear swaps,
those super big tires are not for the every day street type of driving man, lots of guys here that can help you do it correctly the first time so you don't waste cash playing games.
just looked at your gallery, nice truck. a bit to high for this old fart to climb up into
looking at it i can see where all the gas goes though. the open exhaust hurts you also the v10 needs some back pressure to help run better.
some of our lifted guys should be around to help you out.
