Good take off power really depends on your motor. If you have a 460 either mainifold will give you good takeoff. If you have a 302 I wouldn't get the RPM unless you were to go with a higher stall converter and a bigger cam. Please include more info on your intentions. Are you drag racing? What size truck? What gears? Are you worried about mileage? How many other mods are you wanting to do along with the intake if any?
William, the perfomer has slightly more power at idle with the RPM catching up and passing by 2500 rpms. I would get the RPM. The RPM will breath better when your foot is in it and still be able to do the job if you make other additional chages later. DF
William, for better takeoff change your rear gears to 3.25 or 3.50 or even higher. That is the least expensive route to take and no guessing wheather it will work or not. It will launch much better but more launch = less MPG. ;-)
