I was wondering if anyone has installed Cabela's brand stainless steel nerf bars or brush gaurd on their truck? I was wondering also about the quality of the product. Are they just as good as Westin or Dee Zee or the other major companies?
Cabela's brand? Does Cabela's make a nerf bar? As far as I know they are not a manufacturer they are a distributor. I am not a Cabela's know it all though by any means.
What I have seen happen sometimes in this business is Westin for example. They will have a bunch of blimished nerf bars and sell them to a company. Then the company will private label them and give them a name and they can be sold at a lower price. I know of one of our competitors who has the X-Bar nerf bar. It is made by Westin. They made up the name X-Bar, could have named it there company name if they wanted. Maybe this is what has happened?
Humm, that is interesting? All nerf bars are usually pretty durable but the best ones come with a very good warranty. I would check and see if it has a warranty to get a idea of how good the manufacturer thinks they are. If they do not have a warranty then I would think you got a lower end nerf bar and hopefully you got a great price.
