dead short

I have a 95 E-250 w/5.8. I found blown fuse in distribution box for the eec . I replaced the fuse & it blows as soon as I turn key on. I disconnected everything that I can think of & still can't find it. Is it possible that the coil is shorting out causing the fuse to blow?

I'd be looking more at the igntion swtich, and the wires at the computer.

The thing is that when I disconnect the coil wires the fuse doesn't blow. Is it possible that the coil is shorted inside. Never had that problem before.

Maybe, but I need to know where you are disconnecting the wire.
Is this Fuse "U" in the engine compartment fuse box that is blowing?
