Just in from the hospital, my mom recieved a donar kidney last night. She has been battling kidney failure due to diabetes for about 10 years now and was placed on dialysis 2 years ago. Last night she called me while I was at work and told me that she was going to the hospital to get some tests done, that she was second in line for this kidney. At noon today she called again and asked that I go with her and my dad to the hospital because she ended up being the best match for the kidney. So at 1:20 this morning she was closed up with a new kidney and her body is accepting it well. The next 36 hours are critical to the acceptance of this new organ, and I would like to ask for a few prayers to be sent up that her body dosent reject this kidney and also for the donars family. We will never know who he is or the circumstances but I do know that his family is probably going through a tough time right now. Thanks, and I will definatly keep updating.
Okay, update. Everything going well as of 7:00 this morning. Just recieved a call at 11:30 and was told that an ultra sound shows that a couple blood vessels are leaking so they will go back in and repair that, I am on my way there now. Thanks for the prayers, they are very much appreciated.
Just back from the hospital. Surgery well extremely well. I got to talk to her when she was wheeled back into her room and she wanted me to tell everyone on here who is praying thanks. Will be a long road to recovery but is well worth it. Thanks to everyone for the support.
Okay, word just in. Did an ultrasound this morning and everything checks out. She is doing great, even called me this morning. Still in a little pain and drowsy from all the meds, but is otherwise feeling okay.
Now once she is feeling better all she needs is to take a ride in a Ford truck and all will be complete!

Well she cant ride in mine right now, at least not until I change them shocks and figure out what is making it so darn bumpy to ride in. Seriously though, thank you all who kept my mom and the rest of the family in their prayers. She is doing wonderful, and is up walking the halls already. She still has a long ways to go, but she is getting there fast.
