A Cancer Prayer
My Lord, I should have listened, but I did not know how to. And now I have done this to me. But all is not lost, nor is everything wasted. Now I turn to you, and know that all will be as it should, that the best will come of it that can be of it.
Now I listen with new ears, hear with a new way of hearing, see with a new way of seeing...
Even though it does seem late.
And I know that you have given me this to bear for purposes that I cannot understand yet, but that it is for a reason it is mine to discover.
I will witness your witness, and tell all of those I care for how this has come to be. My eyes are no longer blind to the damage I have done this body - which is your temple. I sorrow for what might have been, but now I take comfort in your gifts, so that this burden is not too great for me.
I fear for my family - I do not want this same evil to come upon them. But it is only by allowing evil to enter the body, that this evil is done.
I pray then that I might be an instrument for YOU to prevent this from befalling others whom I know, and do not even know yet, or possibly ever will. -So that many can be spared.
And I - I place myself in your hands. For with you my Lord, I know all things are possible.
AMEN
NOTE: Lance Armstrong survived cancer, and went on to win the prestigious "Tour De France" more times than anyone in history - the most famous cycling event on earth. It was stunning that he of all people should have done so, much less an American - who were considered inferior bicyclists until Lance came along...
May all of this be a message of hope and understanding.

This is what you must ask of GOD.
One should think long and carefully about what they wish - it CAN become true.
Be very careful what you wish
I am telling you this because I know that what you sincerely ask WILL HAPPEN
But perhaps not in a way that you desire.
You should wish for good health. It is the most important thing to you right now.
Being rid of wrong habits is a big part of it.
Think of YOU first - get yourself clean. YOU can lead the rest of us!

We can not be with our children all the time. They will not always listen when we say "THAT IS STUPID", especially if they see us doing it ourselves.
We can make it illegal, and it can become a game - which makes it more attractive.
What can we do? Burn the tobacco fields?
They are part of Native American religion...
Tobacco is cast to the winds...
WE GAVE the Native Americans small pox, and alcoholism. In return, they have given us CANCER....
It is a fair exchange.
Perhaps we should learn from one another, so that we do not abuse either of these things so much?
We can make it illegal, and it can become a game - which makes it more attractive.

If you struggle for air - your lungs are congested. Do you need to know the cause? Pay attention to what makes it happen...

I was FORCED to work in the tobacco fields as a child and got busted "up side the head" for complaining about it. I knew tobacco was CLEARLY bad for people to smoke but who's going to listen to me....certainly not my old man. I finally escaped and never went back. Those Idiots!
