wow where was that truck sitting that there's a rust hole on the hood? from the side it doesn't look that bad aside from the rear fender but thats normal. i love the '77 grill.
Wow, I've never seen a hood that bad off in my life(that includes junkyard hoods.
I would say go to a junkyard and get at least a hood, and what ever else you would need for really cheap, and in better condition.
Also, you can't go wrong with one of these trucks, I love them, and since you just had to have that one, looks like you do to, how much you got her for ($?)
That is all the more reason to get it. I would of taken it too.
Is this one a parts truck for you super cab, or what are you plans for it? I'd say get to be good friends with the owner of a junkyard for free or extreamly cheap parts, if it's not your parts truck.
i've got a '78 hood, see my gallery. it's on the blue truck. the cab is better than the one on your truck too for that matter. and the doors. all i really need is engine parts. dont know what i'm gonna do with the D60 yet.
The short bed is the one Im restoring, Ive got a mint blue dash pad, looks new, not even faded, on the super cab, and the 400 from the super cab is going to find its way to the short bed. Ill get pics of the super cab later.
She's worth restoring! Especially a short box. They are not all that common, and I would love to own one. I've had regular and Super cabs, but no shortbox trucks. The floors are nothing to fix; same goes for cab mounts, if they are bad too. The junkyard will be your friend! Good luck!
