New Chapter Leader

I just read the post by F2504X4 the Moderator asking that someone post in regards to a new Chapter leader. Aron has family to attend to and will no longer have the time to keep us inline.

FTE is in search of a new leader for our chapter.

I don't know how it works but I guess we need to nominate and vote for a leader with enough time on his hands to do the job.

Anybody interested?

Thanks everyone.

jd

Well fellas to be a CL (chapter leader) you need to be a member for at least a year (or close to it we do have a fudge factor here) and have a fair amount of good posts under your belt, have a positive image in your fello members eyes. Now for the hard part, you need to be able to maintain contact online to help promote growth of the chapter and be responsive to questions members they may have.

Be able to help with getting a couple of G2G's (get 2 gethers) going to meet with other FTE'ers ,Traveling is not required but encouraged but that is up to you the CL. Help promote growth of FTE. It is mainly a online position but the more you can put into it the more you and the members will get out of it.

Keep in mind that that this is a group effort.

Its not a 24/7 position but its helpful if your easily addicted and don't mind having chip installed.

all I can say is try to keep things interesting and membership will grow.

Even though I'm the overall Moderator of the chapters, I use a hands off approach to things because every region is differant, just as long as the FTE guidlines are followed, no ones gonna nit pick the leader.

There more to this but that basic idea for ya, maybe a few other leaders will drop inn and add there comments.

There is a good thread in the general discussion with a lot of good info for you all .
Heres the link for it .

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=296418

If theres anything i can be of help with just PM me.

Gotta go now I gots some mason jars with some funny smellin clear liquid to put away...

I hereby nominate jd_Sylvia
I see he has been a member since 2004. Well within the 1 year mandatory membership. Besides, I think he just volunteered
...
Anyone second the motion?

As far as I can see, based on my experiences here on Norcal Chapter, either jd or 390 would be good for the task of Chapter Moderator. If both agree to run, we could vote, or just utilize both as kind of a joint moderator position???

Even if we do decide to vote, maybe have one as primary and one as assistant.

Another possibility might be to let jd and 390 figure who has the most time to dedicate to the job, to take the primary and who with less time could take the assistant?..... What say ye all?

OK, lets get started - either JD or gashog would be a good choice, and the rest of us can help. I see some "mini" chapter leaders, perhaps 4, one each in San Fran, one for Sacramento and east, one from the north, and one south. Each would promote FTE in their areas.

GoodGuys will be in the Bay Area in March, It would be nice to have some activity around those shows.

I accept the nomination but under one condition, I would like to make a second nomination and that would be ***** B.

He has been a big help to me and he has been vary vocal about getting us together.

He owns more Fords than I do too.

Guys and Gals - I want this chapter to work, and will do what is necessary to make it do so. I have been thinking about it and am just not comfortable in nominating or voting for someone I don't really know.

May I suggest we do some mini-meetings around the valley and in Reno? The idea would be that each meeting nominate someone - and then we vote.
