just bought the truck 3 weeks ago with no reverse put in a reman from ford and now it seems to have little power i drove it home 165 miles away and it went 85-90 mph and now it runs 70 mph at 3000rpm going down hwy can someone help and let me know what to look for thanks
after the trans was put in (the ramp truck)it has to get to almost 300rpm before it will shift i did see a tsb from ford in regards to this but they told me it had nothing to do with the transmission and the trans was right from ford

300rpm or 3000rpm? Because if your trans is waiting until 3k rpm to shift and/or bucking to get out of either second or third gear, you have a serious problem. Give me a few more details, I'm not sure but I think you're in the same boat I was.
Ok, you're definately in the same position I was in. If it's a Ford reman (not overhaul), you have a 3yr/36K mile warranty that guards against any defects in workmanship or overall performance. My suggestion, take it to a different (but reputable) dealer and see if you can get it fixed. Just tell them you have a problem with the transmission, whatever they say is the problem, let them fix it. When they're done, let them know it was a Ford reman and that the repairs are gratis. As long as you have your paperwork and a number for the other dealership, you shouldn't have a problem.
If it's not a Ford reman and you let them fix whatever was wrong, then you may have to shell out a few bucks depending on which dealer you deal with.

i sure did. i was reading it and thinking while i was reading that i was going to drop some points. but i don't ask for reputation points, i feel that if someone feels that they should give points, they will do it without being reminded. JMHO.
dont worry, there are many posts that ive seen you post that were really good, and i think that youll get more reputation points by just being helpful. works for me.

Yeah, you're right. If people feel the need, they'll do what's right.

If I read that correctly, you mean to say that you were drving 85-90mph on the way home? The torque converter needs atleast 40-50 miles to properly break in, mashing it and not doing some normal around town drving is probably what messed things up.
