I am wanting to swap out the 351M that is now in my 79 F100 custom with a 429 out of a 1970 T-bird. I think that I have everything covered but am wandering if there are any surprises I am going to run into during this process. Any feedback on this would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have done basically the same thing. I had to use custom motor mounts, Change the driveshaft, mount the big three row radiator, used an oil cooler so had to remote mount the oil filter. I built the engine so much I got 30 miles out of my old tranny, and then put in the B&M C-6 racing tranny. if you do it right it will be a great thing, all I get is ohs a ahhs when I open the hood. it is the 1977 in the picture gallery. There are some engine shots there too.
