My goodness, that is a big change from a '02 super crew XLT, 5.4, 4X4 to a HUMMER! What did you like best about the hummer that tripped your trigger?
How many $$$ trade difference?
It's not April first yet already, is it? Is this a joke? If so, it is NOT funny.

Nope, serious. My wife bought a Cadillac SRX AWD 2 years ago and the vehicle is top notch along with the dealer. In fact, I've never had a dealer so nice to us since I started driving in 1968. Not at all like the 4 Ford dealers I've been dealing the past few years. That and I've really got hooked on the things OnStar can do.
If the H3 is anything like the H2 hummer my boss had - you can have it
It's an even lighter-duty version than the H2.
So, what was the intent of this post? Did the OP really think this was germaine to this site? Or that they wouldn't get even a SLIGHT bit of sacastic ribbing?
Comparing a Cadillac to an F150? Go buy a Lincoln, I'm sure the dealer would be nice to you too
Onstar? Yeah, I really need someone telling me where to go and it's wrong. My friend had two GM minivans for like 6 years, with Onstar. He gave up using the directions they gave him, the reception is only as good as any other cell phone.
Oh, that's right, I just saw that new commercial. The one where the car EMAILS you to tell you all it's diagnostics passed, and when to change the oil. I guess that big amber CHECK ENGINE/ABS/AIRBAG light ain't enough for the customer to know something's wrong Which is all it's doing... it's an email version of the IDIOT light
Geez...

I like the look of the Hummers but if you plan on pulling anything, I would pass on the H3. The base of the H3 is the Trailblazer which has been rife with quality issues and customer complaints. The 5cyl engine is a dog. Edmunds had this to say about the engine
"The truck shares the same 3.5-liter, inline five-cylinder engine found in the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon. It's rated at 220 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 225 pound-feet of torque at 2,800, which just isn't enough muscle in a truck this size. Although the engine feels more refined in the Hummer, the H3's 0-to-60-mph time of 11 seconds means a larger engine is needed."
My boss's H3 was pretty much a lemon that he couldn't do squat with. For the 9 months he had it it was in the shop 8 times.
He couldn't even use Onstar if he wanted to, the roof leaked and water would come through the Onstar antenna.
Honestly, I couldn't care less about Onstar. It hasn't helped GM very much even though you'd think it would. I bet most of the people that have it have never used it.
He sold it and bought a Ford Lightning.
More and more I find reasons not to buy a new car/truck.
The Hummer H3 is the repackaged Trailblazer, right? Does it come with a six or the V-8?
Nope, it uses a V-5 derived from the Trail´s V-6. As a funny fact, you would think the H3 would have 225HP (as the V-6 has 270, 45HP/cil) but it has 215HP... i guess they took out the magic one (as they said in M. Trend mag)
I wonder how much GM is squandering in Onstar subscriptions? And why hasn't Ford seen fit to come up with the same service? Ever wonder WHY Ford has totally ignored Onstar as an option? Could it be too expensive, or just not worth it in advertising returns?
So THAT's what Chevy's been doing with the R&D $'s ??? An I-5 ?
Or did they just do one of their "remove a cylinder or two from an existing design", kinda like the odd-fire 3.8? ? Or is it an Audi/VW ripoff? Do they have a balance shaft in that thing?
And, MustangGT221, my response was kinda tongue-in-cheek, as in, how could it get any lighter duty? As far as quality, the brand says it all.
