What is essential to keep hooked up on 351M on my 78 supercab. Someone has monkeyed with some of the emissions and I can't figure out what is what. I don't have to worry about anything but a safety inspection so I would like to get rid of anything not needed to simplify things. Please help!
It has automatic transmission, PB, PS and A/C. I know the c6 tansmission needs a vaccum, the brake booster, , vaccum advance and the choke pull-off. The transmission and choke pull-off both get vaccum from the intake can the rest just be plugged? Any others I MUST have. I think I have a vaccum leak now because it shifts hard and won't idle down unless the choke pull-off is manually flipped down.
I have spoken to them at an inspection station and was told that they are not even going to open the hood. As long as the brakes, blinkers, headlights and horn all work they will pass me.
I have a 1979 F250 supercab. On my engine there is a vacumn tree on top of back of engine. On it I have transmission brakes, cruise control and heater hooked up.There will be one more port for engine supply I pluged it.Most everything on carb is plugged.I think I have vacumn advanceand pcv valve hooked on carb.
