Thanks Y'all, the PO didn't know either.... duhhhhh and he had the truck for about 8 years.... if it is for the fog lights, maybe that is why I cannot detect it doing anything since the truck doesn't have any fog lights....

The only F Series truck that would have had factory fog lights would have been a first generation Lightning. A freind of mine has one. None of the other trucks had factory fog lights did they? Also, I don't think there are arrows pointing L and R. Does the switch toggle up and down or left and right. If it toggles left and right, then it is definintely not a factory fog light switch. The factory switch toggles up and down. The only other thing I have seen there that was factory was the push button 4WD. I think the deisels have the "wait to start" for the glow plugs there. It might be easier to identify what the switch is for if you had a picture.

Hmm plow control that does sound feasible. Check on your front frame and see if there are marks of an old bumper or plow on there.

man, that would kind of wear out your arm, dont you think? Holding your arm up there all night long, hope he had an armrest. I like to think it was a ballbearing release or an oil slick, like something off james bond.

Maybe it launches rockets, or makes flames shoot out of the tailpipe? The wife launcher would be pretty cool though, i might need to make one for dad.

Had a truck with one of those once, it was for the power rear slider. Does your truck have one of those? The one we had only worked when you pushed "up" on it and in the direction (left/right) you wanted! It was a piece of poop. Several weeks after we had gotten it, it stopped working all together.

someone patent the wife ejector, i'll buy it (lmao).

my guess is the PO bought it off of someone else, and he had a fascination for off the wall lookin swithces (we all know the guys, 4-5 swithces under the dash, none of em do a damned thing), the only switch in that spot would be the push button 4x4 button on like the broncos, the fog light switch would've been in the next space to the right (assuming this ones in the same spot as the fuel switch as you stated), and no fog lights from the factory, or aftermarket that i've seen had arrows.

I have that switch too and I heard that was what it was for, it doesnt work, and the owners manual doesnt even mention it.
