Since it is a fairly cold weekend I doubt too many have any plans to work on their trucks. Even with a shop it takes alot of energy to heat it so in the colder parts of winter I don`t bother.
Yes, SGI is very hard (impossible!) to deal with. When I was in PA last fall I noticed an insurance agency flyer claiming no surcharge for wood heat. I wonder what their catch is? If you can find out that would be great.
Well I went and got a new csa approved wood stove, and csa pip and stuff, and it was extremly easy for them to insure my garage, they sent some lady out and she checked it over, took a few pictures and voila, it was done! Didnt cost a dime on my insurance either.
Woo that was the best part! Actually got me a woman now, if she lasts haha, and the insurance company was sgi. It didnt cost any extra because it is detached from the house too, if that helps at all!
I have a natural gas unit heater with stainless heat exchangers sitting in the corner of my garage. If i was ever around S-toon I could put it in your shop. Of Course for a minimal fee....lol
The wood stove in my garage (which i still haven't removed) wasn't going to cost anymore on my home insurance because the garage is seperate from the home. Just needed $600 for a damn chimmeny, plus the space around the stove needs to remain free and clear of "junk".
As for the weekend........BATHROOM RENO NOW !!!! Totally gutted the entire room right down to the studs. **** head of a previous owner did a crappy job and black mold grew in the bathroom. I felt like Mike Holmes from Holmes on Homes seeing all the wrongs.
As for truck.......running like a Cadillac.
The $600 is bad plus the fact that I have a hi-temp one wasting away in storage. If ever anyone needs an almost new stainless steel hi-temp chimney (long enough for a two storey house) give me a shout.
Is it one of those insulated ones fom? Because if it is, and a 6 inch pipe, I willl take it for whatever you want for it, I need my chimney a tad taller to get a little better flow. But I only neww like maybe a 2 or 3 foot chunk.
I will have to look as I remember it to be quiet large, possibly a 6"" but think it`s more like a 7". There are afew 3 ft sections. We can check it out this weekend if you make it out to my place.
Remeber put backing in for the new tub along the wall, if it isnt there that side will drop a 1/4 (just enough to split the sillicone) everytime you fil it with water. Hot is on the left and cold on the right And cold to the toilet. I did a job finishing a house a guy had started on his own, he figured hot water to the toilet's would keep them cleaner.
I owned house that was built in 1910 at one time. Anyways I noticed that the floor around the toilet was kind of spongy so I decided to lift the floor and replace it. So I start pulling up the floor, 6 layers altogether, what a dirty job that was. As I am hauling out all the scrap an elderly couple out for their evening walk stop to chat and ask me what I am doing so I tell them, knowing that they once owned the house. He tells me that they built the bathroom addition on the house in 1938 with scarp lumber from an old grainery. The house had many different owners since him but it was interesting to get some history on the house. When I tore down the house down later, on the brick chimmney in the kitchen under some panelling was a big heart with there names and the date. I phoned them to tell them to come over and have look. Apparently they owned the house when they were newly weds.
