Cant get any deeper without the vin number itself. The axle code chart does end at 1980. Vin decoder goes a bit farther back.

Before You got all excited to act like a smart #####, you could have looked at the decoder and seen that 13J is not an option for 1977. Since you were wrong the first time I looked at the article for axle ratio's but it was from present year to 1980. My calculations show 1977 not falling within those parameters. If you have to act like that don't respond in the future. You give this site a bad rep.
