Pricing an Escape
I have a '93 Explorer that has been an outstanding vehicle in terms of quality. Low miles (68K) and very few problems over the years. Now we are thinking about a hybrid like the Escape.
Before I take any steps toward a purchase, I'd like to know from you what you think would be a GREAT deal. What was the sticker price, how much off sticker did you negotiate, what different rebates did you get (cash purchase) and what do you wish you had done differently before you signed the final deal?
I promise I won't tell anyone!!!
It's the company site, and you can see what the sticker prices are.
Then go to the new Ford/Lincoln/Mercury buyer queue of this web site
and get the number of Jeff Clark in Rochester, NY.
$500 under invoice is a great deal for any vehicle; even better if it's a hybrid Escape and the manufacturer isn't giving out any rebates for that model.
And most dealers have been charging a premium (or sell at MSRP) for the hybrid Escape and Mercury Mariner.
Good luck. You're at the end of the 2006 model year, dealers will be taking orders soon for the 2007's.
FYI all models of the Escape will be getting a makeover for 2008.
