I bought a Modine Super Cooling 4 row radiator (thanks for the hookup, Dennis!)
I have a 460, in a '76 Supercab. It seems to get up in temps still in 80-90 degree weather, but has never overheated. I am also doubting the temp gauge, as it likes to run at midway point or higher, while my '78 with original style 2 row runs at the 'N' and never sees half gauge.
Neither of my trucks has a clutch fan, just the stock, fixed-blade fan.
I will be installing an aftermarket temp gauge, just to see where it is at. If it is still high, I guess I will try that 'Water Wetter' formula to boost cooling efficiency, before bringing it down here to Florida. Maybe you will consider that as well...
Yea trinogt, let me know how the wet water stuff performes or water wetter???
something like 5 or 10 % cooler? Seems like I read that somewhere, uh do no
Don't wait for me... It may be a few months before I even see my truck again! When you try it out, please report back here on this thread to see if it helped any, ok?
