I was hoping to put dual straight pipes on my 1999 7.3 Ford F-250 Super Duty.
I was told that i would need 2 turbo's to run the straight pipes instead of 1. Is this true or is it just someone out to make some extra money?

Can't answer your question (sorry). This probably should have been asked down in the Super Duty And Heavy Duty forumhere at FTE. Do not repost down there however, as a Moderator will be by to move your thread for you.
Two turbos eh? LOL. Are you trying to run stacks (Like exhaust pipes up along side the cab by the rear window) or just dual outlet pipes like one on each side at the rear of the truck? Neither one of those require "two" turbos.
Check out diesel performance parts web site. I know you said you wanted straght pipes but I'm not sure if the there is straight duals on that site. I know for sure that there is a MBRP dual system but I cant remember if there is a straight version or only with the muffler. Even if you did have two turbos I pretty sure one would be feeding the other like on the susposed 6.4L that is not out yet. Hope this helps. Here is the link www.dieselperformanceparts.com
thru the bed stacks? it is possible with one turbo, and everyone with stacks here has one turbo. (i think). it is just one downpipe and transition pipe, a 90* bend up into the bed, and then the pipes are split into two, and they run out to the corners of the bed and then up and out.
