uhh yea...the ball joint. You dont want to break that lose! Pain in the A$$ to replace. Just hit the thing with a hammer. I know its hard becaue its a new truck and all, but you gota do it. Dont take a chance on breaking any joints, just nail it with a hammer.
So which is better the poly or the solid metal ones? What about the Autospring brand?
rumor has it the poly's will squeak after awhile (don't know if that's true). the Autospring is what i purchased and i am very happy with the look and ride.

If you don't break it loose how do you take it apart? I am really getting confused here...LOL

I took it to a shop thinkig they would use a special tool...but they also used a hammer. So long story short, I couldve installed it as well. I stopped at the last stage, which was to get the spindle off from the ball joint.
close to 2 hours...but it is def do able. Most of the time was consumed by jacking up the truck, putting jack stands, taking the lugs off the tires, taking the tires off, finding the right tools (garage is a mess!)
