I have seen several pics of the 08 Super Duty 4x4 indicating that a leveling kit was installed. I assume that the lift to level is the front end only. Am I correct and how much in inches does it raise the truck?
That is correct. Leveling kits only lift the front; however you must have a 350 or have 350 blocks installed or else you will look like an idiot with you're front higher than the back.
Most levelling kits are 2-1/2" and they are for the front only.
My 05 F-250 sat exactly 2-1/2" low in the front so with a levelling kit it was perfect!!!
You need to measure your wheelwells front and rear to determine how much lower the front is, then you will know if a levelling kit will be to high or just right.
I have the Readylift Leveling kit on my F-350 and it actually raised it 3" instead of the 2 1/2" that it stated. I don't mind because my truck still sits an inch higher in the back because of the taller rear blocks of the F-350.
you can always do the add a leaf to raise the back end up withou the block. I did that on my 06. 2 1/2 leveling on the front 1" leaf in the back and it was as level and level can be.

Maybe it was too level senix.
Just kidding, but in all seriousness I do like the front a touch lower than the rear, but not as much as most trucks come stock.
I added the 2 inch front leveling kit to my 350. The back still sits about 1/2-3/4 inch higher but since I use mine for towing that is perfect. Had I used a bigger leveling kit the front would be too high with the trailer in tow.
Some say you need to buy extended shocks after doing the leveling kit but I personally havent done that....yet. Hasnt ever been a problem and I dont do any serious off roading. I still plan to research it and at least see what is out there and what people are using. Some people swear by replacing the factory shocks for a better ride with or without the leveling kit.
I to have a leveling kit on my 08 F-350. I see that you have 37" Tires on yours as you also stated it. Did you have to do any trimming to the front fenders or front fender lining?? I would flat out love to put 37's on mine. I am looking at a set of TOYO MT's. I think it would look cool with the factory 20's.
They don't rub in normal driving except when you turn hard to the left and it just barely touches the inner wheel well wall. they clear the fenders. I have 35" tires on my stock 18" rims with studs for the mountains and in the summer run the 37"s on aftermarket rims. They have to be the right offset or it won't work.

Thanks, Jeff
I have 37s also with just leveling kit. I didnt do the work but as far as I can tell there was no cutting or trimming at all.
It dose not rub either and IMO looks great with 37s and level.

What are your exact tire sizes?? This is for both of you Jasfaa and Rocketw19. The tire that I am looking at is Toyo's Mt Tire size 37x13.50R20LT E. DO you think I will encounter any issues?? I can't wait!! Hopefully by the first of the year or end of January 09 and I will have me some new tread. Thanks for your hep!! Do either of you have close up photos of your trucks with the 37's?? Truck and tire together. Curious to see how it will look.
I think mine are 37 12.50's 18" but there is not much difference between the 12.50 and the 13.50 but you may rub a little more when turning tight. I don't think the 20's will make a difference either.
