tire hitting on D60

we just machined some hubs for my buddys scout and we were putting the tires on tonight and the hitt he caliper, they are 38.5x15-15 boggers...and I have heard that people have to grind on the caliper and whatnot to get it to fit???

yup 15's wont fit on a D60 with the dual piston calipers without grindin. i did on my 60 and i could easily run 15's. just dont take more material than you have to

they also make wheel spacer plates.

yea the 60 had a spacer type thing becasue the 70 it came with usedto be a dualie...so we machined a new hub out of aluminum, so thatwould be defeating what we acomplished....but grinding does work eh.....do you have any pictures?

you can run wheels with 2.75 backspacing and no grinding...if you run a wheel with like 3.75 or so you wont have t ogrind much at all

hmm yea, we will probably just grind it....maybe I'll post a picture of it with the tires on...even though its a scout, but I guess IH is linked to ford a bit..haha
