How hard is it to install the DP chip, and where does it plug into.
This sound like what i need instead of the hypertech for towing ?
It was a piece of cake. It took maybe an hour to do. The hardest part was deciding where to place the switch. The chip itself actually plugs onto the computer, and stays in place. The computer is in the driver's side footwell.
So, if I read the DP Tuner website right, it's $240 for the chip with one file, $225 for the other 5 files plus $35 for the flip switch, so $500 in total. Is that what you paid?!?!?!

Not quite $500. About $25 shy of that. And worth every penny!!
I've got to say that if your even thinking about it............do it! I have had an Edge Evolution for some time in my 2000 "X" and it has been great for me until now. I finally took the plunge and ordered a DP-tuner 4 position chip (Stock, 40 hp tow, 60 hp tow, and 80 hp Econo) The performance of his tunes are unbelievable! The 40 hp tow seems to be equivalent to the Edge's 60 hp tune. The 80 hp is pure fun. My only regret besides the fact that I can't stop buying crap for the "X" is that I waited so long! You will not be disappointed.
Yes, I am running the Blue CPS. But, most of my driving is under light load right now, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm following the Blue CPS thread though, to see if there will be any huge differences in timing.
Thanks for the reply....I gotta do this soon....When y'all hear a lady yelling, "What??? you spent another five hundred dollars!!!" That would be my wife!! OH well one of lifes little challenges
