02 Ford expedition
I bought my Eddie Bauer Expedition on saturday and could not be happier. I have however noticed one annoying thing that I cannot put my finger on. At first I thought this noise was the fan hitting metal somewhere. When I popped the hood I discovered a compressor looking part which was making the noise. It sounds like and air compressor filling itself back up. Does anyone have any idea what I am reffering to?

Could be the air compresser for the suspension. Check if you see air lines going to the shocks. If you do, then you have the LLS.

Load Leveling Suspension.
I don't have it on my 03 EB, but I hear that if you tow it is a good thing. I'm not too familiar with LLS but I think there are two types. One is just for the rear suspension and another type has it on all four wheels.
All the info I get is from FTE
. You could do a search and see what the feedback says about LLS.
