Glove box interchangebility

I have a couple questions. What are the two holes in the top of my glove box for? And what years are these glove boxes interchangeable with?

Thanks,

Do you mean the two holes on the frnot edge of the box?

If so,those are the two top mounting holes and should have screw in clips attached to them.
The hole on the left SIDE of the box is for the light.
