Smile Mud Flaps

Hello Everone,
I am new to your forum and enjoy it very much. It has alot of good Q&A.
My question to the forum is I am looking for some good mud flaps for my 2006 F350 Crew Cab with 18" on it. Any recomendations or websites would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
HDFXRUSA

Welcome hdfxrusa!

I actually was going to post a similiar question today. I am looking at either the molded FORD factory mud/splash guards or the Husky mud flaps. Not sure which is better.

At the Husky website they have instructions on the install...and require drilling several holes. Not sure if the FORD factory require drilling???

Any comments are welcome...as I am just joining in on this thread!

biz

i have custom built flaps from www.duraflap.com the guy that runs the company is named Dennis. He will build them to any size you ask for. they are very good flaps, real durable, and reasonably priced. to have mine made i paid 250.00 for the full set, and they cover the tires way better than the stock flaps.

On my 2005 250 SD V10 4X4 on the front I have the Ford molded flaps an they have worked great for me. I have the factory plastic running boards on my truck and the have kept the snow and slush of my running boards very well. On the back I have the long Ford flaps and they seem to work well when I pull a trailer I don't get much mud on it. The front flaps I don,t think I drilled any holes I did not go out to the garage to check. The rear flaps I did have to drill holes but Ford had a template for the truck where to drill holes. The screws had a sealer on them to seal up the holes in the steel for rust. I am happy with the Ford mudflap set up that I have. I have part numbers if you would like let me know.

I also have the Duraflaps on my 06 CC F350 4x4 PSD. I don't remember what I paid but I don't think it was 250. I went with their extra long no drill flaps 12 inches wide with no weight. I think the weight added a bunch to the price. But I liked the "clean" look of all black. If i was to do it over again though, I think I would get the 14 inch wide flaps. They would cover the tire just a bit more.

yes, i did get the Duraflaps with the stainless weights... so that is why i paid so much. i like the contrast look.... mine are 13" wide, and the fronts are 24" long, and the rears are 27" long. i dont know about the pics though other than on their website.

paul100 and mattd17,

Do you guys have pixs of your trucks that I could get a visual of so I can see what they look like.
Hate to buy something that I have never seen before.

Thanks,

I will try to take some pictures tonight when I get home. Just a warning though, my truck is pretty dirty right now. PM or email me your email addy and I'll send them to you directly. I haven't spent the time to figure out how the gallery feature works yet.

The P/N for the front flaps is F81Z-16A550-AA I paid $37.00 plus tax. The flat rear flaps that I have are P/N F81Z-16A550-FA I paid $19.25 Plus Tax. The flaps are a flat plastic and come with a template to make the holes to fasten them.

I put some photos in my gallery. There not the best but it was dark and cold when I got home so......
The duraflap mudflaps hang real straight with no bending from the wind or water on them.

you will be very happy with them. Dennis sounds like a great guy from talking to him, and he is just trying to put out a quality product for a fair price. did you get the stainless weights also?

I got mine on ebay from a seller called cutsmetal. They are diamond plate aluminum and I gave him my own custom sizes. I took a piece of cardboard and cut it out to the shape I wanted and held it on the truck to make sure it covered what I wanted. It cost me 47$ for a set of four shipped to my house. Only drawback was removing tires to drill in stainless screws.
