Those are probably #2 and #3 of my LEAST favourite episodes. A butt ugly hog of a Chebby and a brand new stinkin' car, which she promptly turned around and sold on ebay.
Soooo deserving.
But the #1 worst one was that Gak ugly yellowChebby truck. Man that thing was UUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuugggggggggggllllllllllllllY!!
My fave episodes were probably some of the Mustangs he did,, the '70 Boss and the 2 sixties ones, and definitely the vintage Ford trucks, both Chip's own '56, and the '65.
Gotta love them Roush engines

The Jay Leno's friend was so deserving as well. I mean, there are a lot of more people out there that don't have friends like that that need it. I'm getting pretty fed up with overhaulin anymore. I thought the show was to redo some deserving person's car that could not do it themselves. Oh well, publicity is what i call it, but hey, what do i know.

I like the show for the build aspect but the 'steal a mark's car' story line is getting old. I wish they would just have a show that focused on the work being done. The show 'rides' was pretty good in that respect but I haven't seen it on much lately.
The work parts and labor done on cars is considered income (or capital gain). By selling it you might be able to afford to pay the taxes. Replacement high horsepower engines and value also impact insurance. Better off with a beater and the dreams of a show car.
i quit watching it when they got rid of the first chick that was hosting the show.
i would be a little mad if they "pimped" my truck. oh boy rims! the newer car ones are pretty dumb, they tricked out the dodge magnum with a 300C front clip now thats fancy.
i want to see them drag in a rusted out corsica or a celibrity or a TEMPO! lets see them pimp up one of them.
I find Foose's work very interesting because he makes things look like they should have been there from the factory. His mods are very tasteful and designed to flow with the body.
I've watched a few episodes, and like any episode where they work on Mustangs. Including that '05 GT. Sorry she sold it on ebay, but I saw all the mods that were done and thought to myself, "sweet car, but the cars cost of ownership will skyrocket"
I'll agree with one poster about the, "the owner gets tricked, the car gets tricked out" tagline getting old. But, the work aspect is always pretty cool.

Yes, my point exactly. I miss Courtney! New hostess seems completely oblivious. I think I saw Courtney on HorsePower TV a few weeks ago?
Except for the new Mustang, I've enjoyed most of the rides Chip has created. Still not a fan of his big ugly wheels. They almost always look way out of scale with the rest of the vehicle.
