Is gone home. One of the staff owns the car and is working on it getting it ready to go cruising with this summer. Turns out it is a 1926 T, one year newer than my 27 T Touring. His should be a blast on the street and a really cool rod.
Too bad it still isnt on display, but at the same time nice to see the guy is doing something with it. You guys know what I mean, its like the hot girl that ya hate to see her go, but love to watch her walk away!
Nooooooooo, 51 it doesn`t have a Ford motor, it has a 327 which is too bad. The owner wanted really wanted to have a flattie but he thought the $3/4000 for a rebuild was too much. Too bad but it works for him.
I would rather have a 302/351 if I was building a rod. Sbc are ancient news and totaly over done a long time ago. They never did belong in a Ford. Ford tuff with chevy stuff isn`t my way of thinking.
Id just like a decent rebuildable motor and tranny for my Rat. And beeing a Rat Rod it must be realy cheap! It should be Ford to go along with the dodge body and cheby rear end. I guess it does have a mustand front end. So it not all bad right now.

I have found a Flattie V8 Ford that`s supposed to run (?) for $250 near by at Tired Iron Automotive. If you are interested I can look into it further. I was thinking of putting it into my 53 M250 but don`t know if I ever will get that far.
To soup up a Flattie V8 is a rich man`s game for less power than a stock 302! Remember that`s it`s a 60 + year old fragile piece of metal with only 239/259 cu inches. It can develope hair line cracks in the block between the valve seats or blow up even if you don`t soup it up. Better to spend the huge amount of money that a rebuild will cost and leave it fairly stock. It`s a neat, rare nostalgia motor with unique flavour. A friend has one in his fine Model A fenderless rat rod from in the 60`s.
