I know I guy in Regina when he is finished his Flathead V-8 he'll have $12000 spent on it for a 300 hp. Fomoko if you need any flathead parts give me a shout. I got enough parts to put 3 engines together but no blocks. Hey, Pryo it's not lack of skill but money. I wanted a flathead V-8 but the $3000 rebuild cost is alot so I dropped a 302 HO ($550) and AOD ($125) in my truck. When it was running it would spin the 33" mud tires through 350 lb Dana 70 with 4.10:1 ratio. 
Sure the Flathead has a unique sound but the 302 is where it's at!
