Inverter
I just purchased an inverter so that I can hook up my sons Nintendo Gamecube to the intertainment system in our Expedition.
What I like to ask is where did you mount your inverter at in your Expedition?
I am just trying to get ideas. Thanks!!

What year and how big an inverter ? My son does the same with his it is a 500 watt and we plug it in the cig lighter in the back of the center console facing the second row, I have a 2001 Expy. When not in use he just slides it under the second row seat. I thought of mounting it but this way it can go from vehicle to vehicle and even use it when freinds take him.

other considerations
We have a 2003 Expedition. My concern was I didn't want a gamecube flying around in case of an accident. We put both the inverter and the gamecube in the cavernous center console storage bin and plugged the inverter into the front passenger outlet. We used a wavebird wireless controller to minimize the amount of wiring. We fed the audio and video leads from the gamecube out the small opening in the center front of the bin and then ran them back to the entertainment center. Another nice benefit was that when you unhook the video and audio leads, it's outta sight and doesn't present a temptation to anyone looking to pick up a free gamecube! My only concern was heat build up but on a recent 3 hour highway trip it wasn't bad at all... my kid didn't even know we were on the road for 3 hours because she was playing games all the time.
