Satchels, Purses, and Packs
When was the Back-Pack invented?
So I was wondering when the Purse became prominent among women as I was thinking that back in pioneer times women probably didn't have purses as they would not have had all this modern stuff that modern women need to carry around with them.
I was also thinking that in medieval times men carried satchels with them to hold their coins and utensils and whatever else they needed. And the women of the day probably stayed at home and would not need to carry anything around with them.
When you play a Medievel Fantasy "Role Playing Game" and you pick up items, they go into a pack or a satchel. Most of these games you play as a male character.
When you read books of the Fantasy/Sci-Fi genre, in the Fantasy books the male characters are usually carrying a pack or a satchel, right?
So when did a woman's purse replace a man's satchel and when did the unisex Back-Pack appear?
What year was the song " I love to go a Wandering" written ?
Because the second line is: " With a Backpack on my back ".
and why not charge an arm and a leg for the best sack, the one every girl must have, and then change it a week later so they have to get the newest one.
my girl gives me crap about having two trucks, i give her crap about having so many damn purses id need more then two trucks to move them all.
