My Kevlar gloves ripped after 5+ years of service and they don't make that brand anymore. Can any recommend some Kevlar gloves? Want some with the rubber pads on the back of the hand and knuckels. I don't like the wrist cinch strap, and don't mind ordering off the internet.
We use "Golden Needles" at work to change knives in the planer. They probably have several different products, but ours have no wrist strap nor do they have a rubber guard on the back. They are just a knitted glove. They tend to lose their effectiveness when they get laden with oil and diesel, and if you catch your hand on the corner of the knife they will not protect you from being cut.
Ironclads. I have the cold weather water proofs, I work outside here in Michigan. They are great, I can turn a nut or hold a screw with them, and my hands stay nice and toasty. They have various types of Ironclad gloves, just pick out which ones will work for you.
we used ironclads [not sure what stlye] at my last job, involved reaching in a injection plastic molding machine to retreve half molten parts at 400+ degrees. we'd end the day with a half plastic coverd pair of gloves, throw them on the table bash them with a hammer and pick all the plastic off them. they were decent gloves although im sure they were also their cheapest, mine would last a good 6-7 months before replacing.
never sufferd any burns kept the hands nice and toasty and had decent grip when working on tiny plastic pieces.
