Heated Mirrors Not Working

I Recently Installed Headed/power Trailing Mirrors On My 2001 Excursion. The Mirrors I Removed Were Paddle Style With Turnsignal And Heat Functions. However, Now My Heat Function In The Mirrors Does Not Seem To Be Working. Do The Mirrors Have A Seperate Fuse Or Do They Work With The Rear Defroster?

As I understand it... the stock mirrors only heat whe the rear window defroster is turned on. Did you wire your replacement mirrors off of the stock wiring?
