Why do some people think the 351m,c 400m are big block's? other than the fact they share bell housing pattern's? I've never seen 351c head's on a 460, but i have on a 302boss
Well now I have never heard anyone refer to the cleveland as a big block expecially since it has a small block bellhousing, and uses the same motor mounts as a 302. Now I have heard people call the 351m/400 big blocks and that is because they are basically just as big, and heavy contrary to popular belief in this particular forum the 400 is not a bunch lighter than a 460.
Lastly there is no such thing as a 400m, there is a 351m but the 400 does NOT have an M after it.
Right on!!! My buddy who has a 79 150 that's all redone has a sticker in his drivers side vent window that says "BIG BLOCKS KICK ***" and he has a 400 in it. I just havn't broke the news to him yet. He's one of those guys that's never wrong, and I don't fell like arguing with him for hours and not getting anywhere. But I know that I'm right :-)
