I need sending units.
A customer of mine just dropped off his 1983 F250. I get to put a new body on it. The problem I have is that we want to do fuel tanks at the same time, since one has rusted out, and the other is close. His sending units quit sending about 10 years ago. I just got off the horm with Ford and they say the sending units are no longer available. My question is is there an aftermarket source for them and if so , could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks

Good luck finding some.
I went thru several wreckers the other day here in Vancouver to find some parts for my 91 and they all had the same message for me. Sorry we don't have any trucks, it seems that most of them are still on the road. The same is probably true for the 83's to 89's.

try autokrafters. they list a tank sender for 80-83 F series with aft steel tank.
