101 Lighting Tips For The Garage/Workshop.
1. Four foot double bulb flourescent fixtures are relatively inexpensive and a lot cheaper to use than incandescent bulbs. They also provide more floor to ceiling clearance.
2. A Halogen work light works great as a source of heat.(Don't use around flammable or meltable items!!!
3. A string of white christmas lights carefully fed into a gas tank will allow you to see the condition of the inside of the tank. (Worked great for inspecting my '50 F1 tank since the internal baffles don't allow a clear view from the sending unit hole to the filler hole.) Just remember to make sure the tank has not held gas or has been thouroughly washed internally before attempting.
4. No matter how many light fixtures or drop lights you have in your garage/workshop, having a couple flashlights within easy reach will come in handy when you least expect it.
More to come as I think of 'em. Anybody else wanna share?

Those electronic ballast lights seem to work well and are much lighter to handle than the transformer type.
String a series of outlets high on the wall or in the rafters connected to a wall switch for lights.
