I have a 78 Clubwagon with a strange engine drivtrain combo. the engine is a 302;C6 tranny;and the differential is 2.75 Isn't this a low ratio or is it set from the factory for towing? the VIN is E12HHCG...... Thanks for all your help.

The higher the number the lower the gears. Yours is geared very high which means it would suck at towing and take offs, but would be able to run really fast when you get it up to speed.
